Spilanthes (Acmella oleracea) is also know as the “toothache plant” because of its affinity for oral health. Similar to echinacea for it’s affinity with the immune system, Spilanthes can also help to calm oral discomfort. This herb has a very distinct taste! and a bit of a pop-rocks effect in the mouth.*

Spilanthes is an annual plant that we start from seed every Spring and begin to harvest in Summer. Spilanthes has vibrant yellow and red button flowers and thick succulent-like leaves. It’s always fun to watch visitors try tasting this herb for the first time!
